Mark Hurd, who was co-chief executive of Oracle and a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, died Friday. He was 62.

Hurd took a leave of absence from the software giant in September for unspecified medical reasons, saying only that he needed to focus on his health. Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison announced Hurd’s death in an online post Friday.
