SAN FRANCISCO — Pacific Gas & Electric Co. is poised to shut off power to more than 12,000 customers in Northern California amid gusty winds and dry conditions this weekend.
On Friday, PG&E said it began notifying customers in Butte, Plumas and Yuba counties of a possible “public safety power shutoff,” or PSPS. The utility is also closely monitoring conditions in El Dorado, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Tehama and Yolo counties.
