More than three years after opening its first U.S. location in Walnut Creek, Spain’s lively Teleferic Barcelona will start tempting Peninsula diners with tapas.

The paella and pintxos palace has taken over a prime spot at Town & Country Village in Palo Alto — the former Calafia restaurant — and is scheduled to open to the public Tuesday, Oct. 8.
