PG&E to cut power to NorCal customers Wednesday morning

For a second time this week, Pacific Gas & Electric Co. will switch off power to tens of thousands of Northern California customers amid continued dry, hot and windy weather conditions.
The utility said the Public Safety Power Shutoff, or PSPS, will begin at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Sierra foothills and at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in the North Bay, impacting 48,200 customers in the counties of Butte, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sonoma and Yuba.
