DoorDash has revamped its controversial tipping policy, a move that the on-demand food delivery company says will allow its delivery workers to earn more money and keep all of their tips.

In a blog post, DoorDash CEO Tony Xu said that for the company’s delivery workers, known as “Dashers,” the new tipping approach will ensure that “every dollar customers tip will be an extra dollar in their Dasher’s pocket, and customers will be able to tip at checkout or after the delivery.” Wu added that Dashers will earn more money on average “from DoorDash and overall.”
