A 2.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded Wednesday morning in the hills at Saratoga’s west edge, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake struck at 12:36 a.m. It was centered near the intersection of Highway 9 and Pierce Road, barely a mile west of downtown Saratoga.
