Disney will attempt to get a jump on consumers’ holiday shopping plans when the entertainment giant opens up a new store-within-a-store at the Target location in San Jose’s College Park area.

The Disney store in San Jose with be the only one in the Bay Area when Disney opens 25 such locations Oct. 4. Target said the 750-square-foot Disney shops will carry more than 450 products, including more than 100 items that had been available only at Disney’s own retail stores.
