Weather conditions that drew heat advisories for inland San Francisco Bay Area cities and towns are expected to ease overnight, starting off the month’s last week on a cooler note, the National Weather Service said Sunday.

Bay Area residents sweated outdoors and took advantage of cooling centers in some areas that saw temperatures well into the mid-90s and above, thanks to a high-pressure system centered over southwestern Arizona.
