Palo Alto police arrested an armed man suspected of domestic violence Saturday afternoon following a standoff that lasted well over 24 hours.

Authorities said the standoff began when they were called to the home on the 300 block of Tennessee Lane around 10 a.m. Friday to negotiate the man’s surrender.
