The suspected shooter at this weekend’s Gilroy Garlic Festival where three people were killed and more than a dozen were injured died from suicide, according to an official with the Santa Clara County coroner’s office.

The finding of death via an intraoral gunshot wound to the head contradicts police accounts of Santino Legan’s death. Both the Gilroy Police Department and the FBI have said that Legan, 19, was killed by three Gilroy officers just one minute after he opened fire on the crowd.
