SAN JOSE — A landmark downtown San Jose office tower topped by a KQED sign has been officially bought by veteran development firm Jay Paul Co. — a deal that appears to have set an all-time high price for an office property in the city’s urban core.
The 357,000-square-foot high rise at 50 W. San Fernando St. near South First Street was purchased for $238 million in cash by a Jay Paul affiliate operating as SJ 50 West SF, according to Santa Clara County property records filed June 21.
