Shares of Uber, the ride-hailing app that has changed transportation around the world, opened below their IPO priceĀ Friday.
The San Francisco company on Thursday priced its shares at $45, at the low end of its targeted range of $45 to $50 amid questions about growth and whether it can ever turn a profit. Uber, which had an adjusted loss of $1.85 billion last year, opened at $42 and was up slightly Friday morning, valuing the company at about $77 billion.
