SAN LEANDRO — San Leandro could become the latest Bay Area city to dump the embattled vendor that provides its cameras to track motorists who run red lights, but not anytime soon.

Redflex Traffic Systems has been under fire since at least 2012 after allegations emerged that three individuals involved with the company’s contract with Chicago took part in a $2 million bribery scandal to get the cameras installed in the Windy City.
