Prosecutors announced a fresh indictment Tuesday for 16 of the parents accused in last month’s massive nationwide college admissions cheating case, including a half dozen from the Bay Area and a Hollywood actress.

The new indictment accuses the parents of conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering in connection with the alleged scheme to inflate their children’s college entrance exam scores and falsely present them as athletic recruits to grease their admission to selective universities.
