A storm moving across the Bay Area on Friday morning is not as strong as previously forecast, and meteorologists with the National Weather Service said the region will likely experience scattered showers, as opposed to heavier, widespread rainfall.

Over the past two days, computer models have indicated a much weaker system compared to projections at the beginning of the week, according to Ryan Walburn, a meteorologist with the weather service in Monterey.
