Following an uncharacteristically quiet trade deadline for the San Francisco Giants, manager Gabe Kapler said he considered the organization’s lack of activity an “endorsement” of the 2020 club’s playoff chances.

“It hasn’t been perfect,” Kapler said pregame. “Everybody knows that we’ve had some missteps along the way. But I think in general it’s an endorsement, and I’m glad to be here with this group today.”
