California reported 89 deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday, including two from the Bay Area, a dip from the day before as the virus continues to course through the state.
Santa Clara and Contra Costa counties each reported one death on Saturday. Alameda County, which recorded 5 deaths on Friday, continues to lead the 10-county Bay Area in number of new cases, at 116 on Saturday, and confirmed cases overall at 10,330 — the only county in the region to top 10,000 cases.
