Californians hoping to spend the July 4 holiday weekend at state beaches along the coast won’t have any luck finding parking.

California State Parks announced Wednesday it will close public parking facilities at state beaches and prohibit parking on roadways from July 3-5 in nine counties, including Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz and Sonoma.
