Event is a fundraiser for the Juneteenth Theatre Justice Project, which aids Black theater efforts across the country. A blend of wit, tragedy and humor, the play speaks to some of the most pressing subjects of our time – gentrification, white fragility, the Black Lives Matter movement, and police violence against Black bodies.
