Snow was falling at Lake Tahoe even as a wildfire warning was in effect west of the Sierra foothills.

Snowfall at lake levels was reported Sunday, and freezing conditions remained Monday morning. Using the hashtag #Juneuary, the National Weather Service reported temperatures in the mid-20s in lakeside communities and down to 19 near Stampede Reservoir.
