Times aren’t tough for everyone, financially speaking. In the two months that have seen America’s economy ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic and tens of millions losing their jobs, Bay Area CEOs Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison have seen their wealth grow by a combined $44 billion, according to a new report by two left-leaning groups.

Tesla CEO Musk reaped the largest percentage gain of the three, with his net worth expanding by 48% to more than $36 billion, a gain of almost $12 billion from March 18 to May 19, according to Americans for Tax Fairness and the Institute for Policy Studies.
