Health officials in Santa Clara, Alameda and San Francisco counties added more deaths to their tolls from the novel coronavirus Wednesday, marking the second straight day of fatalities in the Bay Area after a two-day respite.

Santa Clara County has recorded 138 deaths since the pandemic started, the most among the Bay Area’s 10 counties. Alameda County has totaled 88 and San Francisco 37.
