FREMONT — A man described by police as a repeat offender who had just been released from jail Monday morning on a robbery charge was arrested again Monday afternoon on suspicion of punching three people in the face in unprovoked attacks.

The suspect, Marcell Washington, 37, a transient out of San Jose was arrested for two counts of felony battery, one count of misdemeanor battery and residting arrest.  He was being held in lieu of $100,000.02 bail at Santa Rita Jail.
