Uber said Monday that it will cut another 3,000 jobs as the San Francisco-based ride-hailing leader deals with more fallout from the ongoing coronavirus crisis upon its business.

Uber made the job cut announcement in a filing with Securities and Exchange Commission. According to the company, the cuts will involve full-time staff members and are being made to “reduce its operating expenses in response to the economic challenges and uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
