SAN JOSE — A man suspected of committing a home robbery at knife-point early Monday was arrested after being found asleep on a nearby rooftop, apparently dozing through hours of calls for his surrender, according to San Jose police.

Officers were called at 5:36 a.m. to the 600 block of South Sixth Street to respond to a report of a disturbance involving a weapon, police said. The officers spoke to a female resident who reported that a strange man armed with a knife confronted her and stole property from her home.
