Four Bay Area counties reported two deaths from COVID-19 and 108 new cases on Saturday, a day after California had its deadliest day for the virus in over a week.

Santa Clara and San Francisco counties each reported one new death from coronavirus, for a total of 114 and 29 fatalities, respectively. Santa Clara also reported 25 new cases, bringing it case total to 2,204 — the most for any county in the region. San Francisco reported 20 new cases for a total of 1,543.
