California Gov. Gavin Newsom indicated the state is considering requiring face coverings and masks to be worn at all times in public settings.

During his Friday press briefing, Newsom said state officials are “encouraged by work being done at the local level and all throughout the state of California,” with regard to orders supporting or requiring face coverings and masks to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
