For the third consecutive day, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the California Department of Public Health recorded at least 60 more COVID-19 deaths as the statewide coronavirus death toll approached 900.

During a Thursday press briefing, Newsom said 69 people who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus died on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 890 individuals in California.
