As protests against ongoing stay-at-home edicts have grown in California and around the country, Facebook has taken to removing some posts and pages that have promoted such protests, and as a result, has found itself in the crosshairs of President Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

On Monday, Facebook took down pages that had been set up to organize and inform about rallies in California, Nebraska and New Jersey against the shelter-in-place orders that have kept millions of Americans away from work as part of the efforts to slow down the spread of coronavirus across the country. When he learned about Facebook’s actions, Trump Jr. went on Twitter to accuse Facebook of infringing on the First Amendment rights of those who want their states to reopen sooner rather than later.
