A Bay Area man is suing singles-club company Events and Adventures, claiming it made a “deliberate decision to bilk their customers out of millions of dollars” by collecting fees when in-person events and adventures are cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak.

But the company’s founder says online activities satisfy obligations to members, and if Events and Adventures stopped collecting membership fees it would go bust.
