As confirmed cases rise across the nation, California is keeping pace. The state crossed the 6,000-case mark Monday morning as 14 new deaths raised its total to 132.

That total has doubled in the last four days, just as the case count across the United States has, with more than 140,000 cases and more than 2,500 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
