Santa Clara County is the first Bay Area county to record more than 1,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to updated data released by the Public Health Department Thursday, 1,019 people in Santa Clara County have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, an increase of 63 cases since Wednesday.
