The organizers behind the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco has announced that the gathering will return Aug. 4 to 6, 2020.

The event was postponed from its original March dates because of coronavirus concerns. It was one of many conferences that went either virtual or was delayed for a certain period of time. In the meantime, GDC held its awards ceremony and its Independent Game Festival Awards this week. In addition, GDC streamed sessions that were recorded by speakers on Twitch. That continues until Friday.
