The second day of the Bay Area’s coronavirus lockdown was more subdued than the first, and quieter than many days in the leadup to the “shelter in place” order that sent businesses scrambling Monday afternoon.

Several counties reported new deaths from COVID-19, including the sixth recorded death in Santa Clara County. The South Bay county’s case total has reached 175, most in the Bay Area.
