Intel has become the latest Bay Area company to make a massive sign of support in the fight against coronavirus, with the semiconductor leader saying it will donate more than 1 million pieces of protective gear to health care workers.

Intel made its donation plans public late Monday. Todd Brady, Intel’s director of global public affairs, said the Santa Clara-based tech giant said it will use its factory stock and emergency supplies to provide the equipment that will include “masks, gloves, face shields, and other gear.”
