INVERNESS — The Palo Alto man who went missing near Point Reyes over the weekend was a leading researcher at the Parkinson’s Institute in Mountain View, and his wife is a prominent linguist and author.

Marin County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brenton Schneider said the search continued on Tuesday for the couple with about 40 searchers on the ground, K9 teams, boats and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the sky.
