MILPITAS — A 51-year-old inmate in Santa Clara County jail died Wednesday night, authorities said.

The man had been booked into the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas last Friday on two felony warrants, said the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Low in a news release Thursday.
