“Survivor,” the CBS reality show granddaddy, returns for its 40th season with a cast of past game winners and double the prize money.

Returning players statistically have not done well — the first-time players are always anxious to get them out of the game early — so it should be interesting to see how an all-veterans cast does with the added dynamic of having figured out how to win at least once.
