GILROY – Authorities are searching for a man who took a 2-year-old boy who wasn’t his by the hand and told him “let’s go, buddy” at a Goodwill store in Gilroy on Friday.

The boy’s father was shopping at the store at 845 First St. about 3:05 p.m. when he realized his young son was not with his other children, Gilroy police said in a news release Monday. The father searched the store and found his son holding the man’s hand.
