A gentle storm system began traveling through the Bay Area early Tuesday morning, bringing light rain and the promise of thick fog mid-week.

The North Bay saw the first drizzles overnight Tuesday — amounting to about .1 inch of rain along the coast — and will bear the brunt of precipitation throughout the morning, according to the National Weather Service.
