SAN JOSE — While 49ers fans in Miami, Fla. will wake up to sunny skies and mild weather, Bay Area residents will kick off the start to Sunday’s game with high winds and the beginning of freezing temperatures forecast for the rest of the week.

National Weather Service meteorologists said a dry cold front will blitz from north to south across the Bay Area early Sunday, with much cooler temperatures following behind, along with gusty northwest winds.
