Between 2014 and 2016, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation raised funds to place 198 salad bars in underserved schools across the Bay Area.

We know that students with nutritious meals are more likely to perform better in school. So, upon reading “Veggies could be off school menus” (Page A1, Jan. 18), it is deeply troubling that the Trump administration seeks to roll back fruit and vegetable regulations for young students in our schools.  These new regulations for school lunches will lead to poor nutritional and health outcomes, especially for our most underserved students.
