SAN MATEO COUNTY – A motorcyclist died after driving off a cliff Thursday afternoon on the San Mateo County coast, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 3:20 p.m. on Highway 1 in the McNee Ranch State Park area, south of Gray Whale Cove State Beach, said Officer Mark Andrews of the California Highway Patrol.
