Californians are narrowly supporting Proposition 14, a bond measure that would bankroll $5.5 billion of stem-cell research and will continue the state’s global leadership in the pioneering field.
With 70% of the vote counted, the measure was headed to potential victory by a slim margin, with 51.1% of voters supporting it and 48.9% voters opposed.
