Amazon won’t be making it in New York — at least not with regards to its much-ballyhooed second corporate headquarters.

The Seattle-based online-retailing giant stunned just about everyone Thursday when it said it is abandoning plans to set up what has been called HQ2 in the New York City borough of Queens. The project was anticipated to bring 25,000 jobs to the city.
