One of the strongest storms of the season is expected to deliver heavy downpours and strong winds across the Bay Area later Friday into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service, who expect the storm to deliver 1 to 2 inches of rain across the Bay Area, issued a flash flood watch for much of the region. The majority of rain is expected to fall during a short amount of time and peak rain rates could reach 1 inch per hour, according to the weather service.
