Netflix has spent billions of dollars over the years on acquiring original content. But, so far, the ultimate in entertainment awards, such as Oscar for Best Picture, has eluded the streaming TV service.

On Tuesday, the Netflix film “Roma” received 10 Oscar nominations, including one for Best Picture, the first time a Netflix film has been nominated for that award.
