David Laatsch, a retired Beaver Dam High School agriculture teacher, has been named to the Wisconsin FFA Hall of Fame.
“Dave was always ahead of his time,” said current BDHS agricultural teacher Jonathon Ganske, who was also a student of Laatsch when he was in high school. “He incorporated science into agriculture already in the late ‘80s. I earned a science credit in biology by taking an ag class. This year National FFA overhauled how SAE, or supervised agriculture experiences, work and it allows for more flexibility, but Dave was already being flexible with local SAE when I was in school.”
