KANKAKEE — The Kankakee Public Library has been awarded a grant of $2,000 from the Chicago Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for the purchase and creation of science kits, which can be checked out and used at home.

Kankakee Public Library “Science at the Library” kits will be available for checkout from the Youth Services department beginning in July.
