GREENWICH — Fabien Cousteau, a deep-sea diver, explorer and environmental advocate, gave the keynote address as 12 seniors graduated on Friday afternoon from the Stanwich School.

The private school has an environmental and marine science program, and Cousteau spoke of the value of preserving the earth’s oceans and natural resources. He is the grandson of Jacques Yves Cousteau, the famous French filmmaker and explorer who pioneered marine conservation and a public interest in the marine sciences.
